I am insanely green with envy over that barn, growing up farming we pretty much only did row crops and limited livestock. We had hogs and cattle, but not cute livestock barns, we have tobacco barns that are pretty much only suited to one thing tobacco! Now that I am older I want a micro farm, sheep, chicks, a nice little garden (not 4 acres of sweet corn) alpaca… even maybe a nasty old hog. But with the price of land here I doubt that happens for a while, then the farmers here will think I am really crazy, to take high priced farm land and leave it fallow for livestock, that does not go to market.

Can’t wait to hear and see how this goes. So happy for the girls, and a little jealous. I always wanted sheep here on our farm.

Good for you for keeping those cats around. We didn’t have any barn cats and you know what eats mice if you don’t have cats? Now we have a snake problem. We need more cats!

I never have like big houses, ever since the reality of bill hit… Lots of land? Sure! But I love small houses. I have considered one of those four-room micro houses before. They’re way cheaper to maintain… And how much House does it really take to make a Home?

Suzi, Shaylah says all the trees make her feel like we’re right back on our Van Island property! There’s such a variety here too! Lots of fruit trees and even grapes, raspberries and more! Just no blackberries…yet.
